Add a Custom Watermark to ID Cards & Badges for Anti-Counterfeit Protection at No Extra Cost per Card with Custom HoloKote® Flex
West Sacramento, CA - Magicard's direct-to-card printers have advanced ID card security by enabling precise positioning of a customized logo or security design watermark with its latest Custom HoloKote Flex update.
With Custom HoloKote Flex, available on the professional series Magicard Rio Pro card printer, organizations can now specify a custom watermark's size, location, and orientation - ensuring the seal is always located in the most appropriate position.

All Magicard direct-to-card printers, including the popular Magicard Enduro color ID printer and Pronto printer, offer built-in HoloKote anti-counterfeiting visual security - a patented feature that enables organizations to watermark ID cards and badges at no extra cost during the normal print cycle.
With standard HoloKote security, customers choose from four anti-forgery watermark designs and the selected watermark is printed across the entire card surface. When the card is tilted, the HoloKote watermark provides visual authentication.
Organizations can further enhance card security by using their own custom logo or security design as the watermark, through the use of Custom Holokote or Custom HoloKote Flex - two features that are available with the Magicard Rio Pro card printer.
Custom Holokote repeats the custom watermark as a frosted image in a grid pattern across the card, similar to the standard layout. In comparison, Custom HoloKote Flex imprints a full-size, secure custom HoloKote watermark of any size at a precise location on the card. All custom watermarks are invisible when viewed normally. When flexed or held at an angle in direct light, the custom HoloKote images become clearly visible.
All custom images are encrypted and electronically stored on a special order data CD and key card set. When loaded via the connected PC, the CD loads the data to the printer's firmware. The key card then inserts into a slot on the printer, which is then able to produce the watermark on the ID card or badge during the normal print cycle.
In addition, when HoloKote is used with Magicard HoloPatch PVC cards, one area of the HoloKote watermark can be highlighted as a highly-visible gold seal on the ID card or badge.
