Magazine Recognizes Top Material Handling Dealers

The MHEDA Journal features tips from high-performing distributors.

Dewitt, NY - The Third Quarter 2010 issue of The MHEDA Journal (http://www.themhedajournal.org), the leading online magazine for the forklift, storage and handling, and general material handling equipment industries, was mailed to subscribers on July 15 and is now accessible online at www.TheMhedaJournal.org.

This issue features short testimonials from 12 material handling equipment distributors, discussing the strategies they implemented at their companies to earn Top Dealer status from their suppliers in 2009 despite the down economy. Strategies mentioned were focusing on aftermarket parts, embracing e-commerce, changing the sales account structure, diversifying product lines and providing better customer service, among others.

The July issue also includes a complete list of distributors who received such honors from 17 original equipment manufacturers. Another cover story article outlines ways that distributors and manufacturers should proactively work together to ensure each other's mutual success.

Other highlights of the Third Quarter issue include tips about writing a company safety policy, getting employee buy-in for a company safety program, a profile on New Hampshire-based storage & handling equipment distributor Bode Equipment Company, an overview of the 2010 health care bill, an outline of the findings in MHEDA's Distributor Performance Benchmarking Report, tips for selecting a business management system, a recap of the 2010 MHEDA Convention and more.

The Third Quarter issue is the first to be showcased on a newly launched, redesigned website at www.TheMhedaJournal.org. The new look allows for more frequent updates and better reader interaction.
