Melville, New York, March 31, 2009 - MSC Industrial Direct Co., Inc., the country's leading distributor of metalworking and maintenance, repair and operation supplies, will showcase a variety of customer solutions at EASTEC 2009. MSC will be located in booth 5323 from May 19 - 21 at the Eastern States Exposition Grounds in West Springfield, Massachusetts.
Visitors to booth 5323 will have an opportunity to see live web demonstrations of the Vendor Managed Inventory (eVMI®) and Customer Managed Inventory (CMI®) systems on a large flat screen. The barcode scanning systems not only allow customers to maintain full control of the ordering process and spending levels but also improve productivity. Additionally, MSC's ToolBoss vending machine will be on display. The unit is part of the company's Competitive Advantage Program and aimed at driving costs out of the manufacturing process.
MSC will also showcase its 2008/2009 MSC/J&L Metalworking Catalog, as well as its Accupro® brand of high performance metalworking products. Created to provide customers with high quality metal cutting and tool holding solutions at a competitive price, the product line offers a combination of productivity and product cost savings when compared with many nationally branded products.
The Accupro product line is fully represented in the 2008/2009 MSC Big Book® Catalog, the industry's largest catalog of metalworking and MRO supplies. The catalog contains more than 500,000 products, which are available to customers for next day delivery on qualifying orders placed before 8:00 pm EST. Free copies of the 2008/2009 MSC Big Book will be available in booth 5323. Visitors will also be able to pick up copies of MSC's Material Handling, Accupro, Fastener and MSC/J&L catalogs, as well as the 2009 Safety Products Catalog.
