MSC Awarded Training Partner of the Year


Lenox Industrial Tools recognizes company’s demonstrated commitment to training and customer support

The award recognizes MSC’s high level of engagement and overall collaboration with Lenox Industrial Tools to provide more value and enhanced technical expertise to its band saw customers. Lenox Industrial Tools selected MSC as Training Partner of the Year as a result of the company’s innovative, collaborative and transparent approach to supplier training.

The Lenox Industrial Tools training was extended to over 65 MSC sales associates and metalworking application specialists, and took place at the Lenox Institute of Technology facility in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. Upon completion of the training program, MSC associates are better equipped to help customers determine the optimum band saw solution for their specific application. “Increasing productivity through greater product performance and reducing downtime is key,” says Tim O’Brien, senior manager of learning and development for Lenox. “Selecting the right products and applying them properly is how we can mutually bring value to our customers.”



As part of the training, MSC associates and application specialists were trained on all aspects of band saws, including the sawing process itself. Training topics ranged from Lenox Industrial Tools’ band saw manufacturing process and proper blade installation to troubleshooting and preventive machine maintenance. The knowledge and technical expertise resulting from successful completion of the program positions the MSC team as highly qualified technicians, and effectively, an extension of the Lenox Industrial Tools team in the field.
