MIOX Hires Cem Candir as Director of Business Development


Cem Candir joins MIOX from GE Power and Water to drive top line growth, expand partnerships, and launch new products

Albuquerque, NM - February 15, 2012 - MIOX Corporation, a leader in safe water disinfection, today announced that Cem Candir has joined the company as director of business development. In this position, Candir will be implementing the company's aggressive growth strategy by expanding and developing sales channels and partnerships, focusing on international business growth. He will play a pivotal role in new product commercialization.

Candir joins MIOX Corporation from GE Power & Water where he was the director of production, sales and inventory, also responsible for business development of contract manufacturing of chemicals. During his eight years at GE Power & Water, he also held progressively responsible commercial finance and operational excellence (Lean Black Belt) roles. Prior to GE, he worked at Boston Scientific and Procter & Gamble in sales, marketing and product management.

Candir holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey, and an MBA with dual concentration in marketing and strategic management from University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management.
