MHIA Presents Overview of US Overhead Material Handling Industry to China Forum



The Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA) presented an overview of the United States Overhead Material Handling Market during the 2008 China Forum on Crane New Technology last week in Shanghai.

The 2008 China Forum on Crane New Technology is sponsored by China Heavy Machinery Industry Association and Beijing Materials Handling Institute. The forum was held on October 29-30, 2008 with over 300 people participating representing crane manufacturers throughout China. Participants included business principals and their crane technology, marketing and sales staff.

Xiao Liqun, Director General of the China Heavy Machinery Industry Association introduced Hal Vandiver, MHIA Executive Vice President of Business Development. Mr. Vandiver provided attendees with an overview of the United States Overhead Material Handling Market, statistics from MHIA and information on standards, specifications and programming from The Crane Manufacturers Association of America (CMAA), Hoist Manufacturers Institute (HMI) and Monorail Manufacturers Association (MMA).
