MHIA Industry Groups Form Overhead Alliance



Three Industry Groups of Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA) recently formed an Overhead Alliance to promote overhead methods of lifting and moving materials. The Crane Manufacturers Association of America (CMAA), Hoist Manufacturers Institute (HMI) and Monorail Manufacturers Association (MMA) formed the Alliance to promote the crane, hoist and monorail industries as alternative lifting and moving solutions that can reduce accidents, improve workplace health and safety, reduce product damage, improve workflow, lower costs and reduce environmental impact.

The Overhead Alliance is launching a promotional campaign at ProMat 2009. The Alliance will exhibit in booth 362 at ProMat and hold an educational session on Monday, January 12 and Wednesday, January 14 entitled Lean, Green Methods to Increase Efficiency, Productivity and Safety: The Answer Could Be Over Your Head!
