The MHEDA Journal Third Quarter Issue Released

Leading magazine for material handling equipment distributors now online.

Dewitt, NY - The MHEDA Journal Online (http://www.TheMhedaJournal.org), is the leading online magazine for the forklift, conveyor, storage & handling, and general material handling equipment industries. The 3rd Quarter issue of the magazine is online now and features a theme of "Engaging Young Talent."

For the first time ever, there are four generations in the workforce at the same time. Members of the Silent Generation, born between 1925 and 1945, and the Baby Boomers (1946-1964) haven't yet retired, while Generation X (1965-1979) and Generation Y (1980-2000) are now well-represented in the workforce. With each new generation comes a fresh set of talents and a new set of challenges. The summer 2011 issue examines how distributors are getting the most of those talents as Generation Y joins the workforce.

The 3rd Quarter issue discusses ways that material handling distributors are recruiting, retaining, training and engaging young talent in their companies. Read articles about how distributors are going beyond product knowledge to ingrain company culture into its Generation Y employees. See how mentoring and job shadowing programs can lead to success and build the leaders of tomorrow. Get tips for integrating different generations together and overcoming generational obstacles in a team.

In addition to the Cover Story about engaging young talent, the 3rd Quarter issue examines forklift power options. What are the advantages and disadvantages of using an electric forklift as opposed to an internal combustion forklift? What does the future hold for hydrogen fuel cells and liquid propane trucks?

The MHEDA Journal went straight to the source to determine what end-users look for in a lift truck. The issue features interviews with material handling end-users discussing what kind of forklifts they prefer and why.

To learn more about engaging young talent and forklift power sources, read the entire summer 2011 issue on The MHEDA Journal Online.
