MESA announces the publishing of MESA White Paper #29: Integration of Manufacturing Intelligence with MOM

Session scheduled at MESA 2010 North American Conference

Chandler, AZ - The white paper details uses of ISA-95 to monitor and maintain goals alignment between both financial and operations metrics. The paper applies an ISA-95 integration process to business intelligence and manufacturing operations management (MOM) for a packaging line example. Packaging-specific example explains the challenge of disparate misaligned data sources across the enterprise and in plants for Business Intelligence (BI), Manufacturing Intelligence (MI) and their integration with Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) systems. These packaging use cases are then utilized to develop a general methodology for any manufacturing form.

This paper was produced as part of the MESA/ISA-95 Best Practices Working Group through an international peer review process involving 5 or more subject matter reviewers. This MESA White Paper will also be published in one of two methodology best practices collection, Book 2.0, The MOM Chronicles, or Book 3.0, When Worlds Collide in Manufacturing Operations (Collections published by ISA, 10/1/10).
This white paper is available at www.mesa.org/knowledge-base/details.php?id=385. All of MESA's white papers are available at www.mesa.org for $25.00 per paper for individual papers, or become a MESA premium member and have complimentary access to over 250 white papers, presentations, MOM/MES guidebooks, industry studies and web casts.

The above paper content is part of an open discussion in the below UnConference Session at
