Original Press Release:

A Message from the MCA Chairman - John Mazurkiewicz

The Motion Control Association consists of over 50 supplier members and recently created a new membership category exclusively for distributors. Distributors represent an increasingly important channel for MCA members and we wish to create closer links within the organization between suppliers and distributors. MCA is a committed group of core volunteers and active Board of Directors which has a vision of what the association wishes to accomplish.

One key aspect we wish to accomplish is promotion and education of our technology. And there are several ways this has successfully been done: the MCA web site, feature articles and business conferences.

The number of visits to the MCA web site has steadily been increasing - there were over 250,000 visitors to MotionControlOnLine.org web site in 2008, up 100% over 2007, and 2009 is even up more! The link thru MCA to member's sites has proven to be a successful promotion.

There have been 36 Feature Articles in the last two years. And each time there is a posting, e-news alerts are sent to over 20,000 readers, and the number of readers is steadily increasing! These articles provide the opportunity to educate and enlighten many designers, distributors and system integrators.

MCA conferences such as the International Robots, Vision & Motion Control Conference provide practical solutions and are well attended - attendees proved to be "quality" key individuals searching for solutions for existing applications or developing products for future growth. Attendees are quite satisfied with content - as indicated from the latest conference by a grade of 4 (on scale of 5)!

Please put the date of January 20-22, 2010 on your calendar and plan on attending the second MCA business conference in Orlando. This conference will be collocated with the Robotics Industry Forum and the Automated Imaging Association Business Conference and will attract some 250 top executives. Talks will focus on business issues such as outlook for the economy, new market opportunities and how to more successfully run your business. Special talks will focus exclusively on the needs of distributors.

Make use of the benefit of increasing your networking opportunities at this business conference.
