MATHESON Shielding Gas Datasheets Address Specific Welding Applications

December 20, 2011 - Basking Ridge, NJ - MATHESON has published six datasheets, each covering the suitability of specific MATHESON Select® shielding gas mixtures in given welding applications.

Bryan George, National Fabrication Applications Manager at MATHESON, says he often sees metal fab operations using a shielding gas that is less than optimal for the application. "There is often a better shielding gas option that will actually reduce total costs while improving productivity, efficiency, and quality," says George.

Each cylinder of the MATHESON Select® shielding gas mixtures is certified to AWS A5.32 and ISO 14.175 standards, ensuring consistent mixture accuracy and homogeneity. MATHESON Select® shielding gas mixtures are prepared using reliable blending and mixing techniques to overcome stratification and ensure compliance to code requirements.

Every company should be aware of the importance of the role of shielding gas mixtures. These datasheets, according to MATHESON, will help users visualize the advantages and connect them with specific every-day applications.

The datasheets can be obtained by visiting the MATHESON website at http://www.mathesongas.com/industrialgas/litcenter/index.aspx.
