MATHESON Announces Youth Reach Program

Basking Ridge, NJ – MATHESON has announced a Youth Reach Program in support of welding education. The goals of the Youth Reach Program are three. The first objective is to draw attention to the importance of developing the next generation of welders. "Welding is essential to the future of this country's economy," says Lynn Horak, Director of Sustainable Marketing at MATHESON, "and welding education is essential to the future of welding."

MATHESON regularly participates at local, regional, and national events. MATHESON employees serve as guest instructors at community colleges and technical schools and also as judges at a variety of welding competitions. The Company also works with other sponsoring companies to help provision school and association events with gases, supplies, and equipment.

The second goal of the Youth Reach Program is to help make equipment and supplies more affordable for the students. Accordingly, MATHESON offers a student discount program, and the Company also offers specially-priced Starter Kits designed to be a core kit of student essentials.

The third goal of the Youth Reach Program is to reach out to welding instructors with safety information and an opportunity to bring a MATHESON expert into the classroom for a guest lecture on welding technology, job opportunities, and how MATHESON can help.

The Program embraces students as part of the welding community. Students are invited to MATHESON stores; and MATHESON personnel actively visit the schools.

Welding school operators, welding instructors, and students are welcome to contact MATHESON about the Youth Reach Program by calling or visiting their local MATHESON store. Store locations can be found on the MATHESON website at: http://www.mathesongas.com/contactus.aspx.
