Press release date: January 26, 2007

Southampton, PA, - M&C Specialties Co., a global provider of pressure sensitive adhesive solutions, now offers a range of high-end materials and custom converting solutions specially designed to improve the processes and finished products in the manufacture of guitars. M&C believes that product design elements, specifically, the role of adhesives in your product, and manufacturability should be considered in one cohesive process to keep that process in tune with quality objectives.

M&C's custom adhesive capabilities for this industry include the design of double-sided adhesives for attaching pickguards, as well as shielding and grounding solutions for electronics. For pickguards that incorporate screws, M&C can die cut adhesive-backed shielding foil with or without screw holes.

When guitars feature electronics inside the cavity, M&C can die-cut foils designed to fit within the cavity and prevent electronic interference, replacing conductive paint or foil tapes. Also, to ensure and expedite precision paint processes and detailing, M&C can die cut fine-line masking products that are easy to peel off and stick on. M&C's industry-renowned conversion abilities, combined with advanced tape technologies, offer customers the best performing, most cost-effective solutions available, with options that drive down manufacturing costs.
