M. Jacob & Sons Completes Acquisition of Dye Packaging Services

M. Jacob Sons, Inc., is pleased to announce the acquisition of Dye Packaging Services, Inc., in Simpsonville, SC.  The acquisition brings together two established and respected names in the packaging industry.

David Lubin, chief operating officer of M. Jacob & Sons, noted that both companies share the same values and focus of providing innovative packaging solutions for our customers as well as a positive customer experience. The addition of Dye Packaging now gives us nine locations throughout the eastern United States which will allow us to continue to build upon our over 125 years of success.

Mark Dye, owner, announced that we have seen a great deal of consolidation in the packaging industry by both distributors and suppliers, and I wanted to be sure to find the right strategic partnership that would allow me to stay active, grow the business and provide an opportunity for all of my employees to remain with the business. Combining with M. Jacob & Sons is that right fit. With M. Jacob & Sons I know that our customers will continue to receive the outstanding service and support that they have become accustomed, as well as benefit from the additional resources, technical support, and depth of service that will be available."

A major packaging distributor founded in 1885, M. Jacob & Sons also operates Sprayco, a consumer products division, and Packaging Consultants Group, a previously acquired rigid packaging distributor in the Northeast specializing in pharmaceutical packaging components. Corporate website is
