Doug Bewsher Named VP, Analytics and George Shahid Appointed CFO
SAN FRANCISCO - March 14, 2006 - Loyalty Lab, Inc., the leader in on-demand consumer CRM, announced today two key new additions to the corporate executive ranks.
Doug Bewsher, former co-leader of McKinsey & Co.'s Customer Relationship Management practice, has joined the company as VP, Analytics. George Shahid, a longtime operations and finance executive with deep expertise in the Sofware-as-a-Service (SaaS) arena, is joining as Chief Financial Officer.
"We just went out and hired the two best people in the world for what they do," said Mark H. Goldstein, CEO of Loyalty Lab. "No one is better than Doug in understanding what CRM means to consumer marketers and George best understands from experience how Software-as-a-Service companies operate."
Bewsher has more than 15 years experience in marketing and CRM. He will lead Loyalty Lab's new consulting and analytics practice as well as guide consumer companies - retailers and service providers, including existing Loyalty Lab clients - in designing new loyalty and CRM strategies, realigning ongoing marketing efforts and integrating new technologies into existing operations.
Bewsher spent five years with McKinsey in San Francisco, where he helped establish the West Coast CRM and marketing practice. Bewsher relocated to the U.K. in 2003 to join Vodafone PLC, the world's largest wireless carrier. As Global CRM Director, Bewsher spearheaded initiatives to increase service and product adoption as well as reduce customer churn.
"It is vital for organizations to build lasting relationships with their customers, recognizing them at each contact and tailoring their communications across all channels," said Bewsher. "Loyalty Lab's hosted solution allows any organization to quickly deploy, in a straight-forward manner, a system which enables customer interactions to be relevant. Marketing teams can focus on learning what activities resonate best with specific customers."
Shahid brings more than 20 years experience ushering companies from the start-up phase thorough successive rounds of venture financing and on to initial public offering. Shahid spent the last four years as Chief Operating Officer and CFO of BlueRoads Corp., a SaaS CRM company providing applications for managing revenue through indirect channels. Prior to BlueRoads, he was Chief Operating Officer of Portalwave, a web services software company. Earlier in his career he held a number of executive positions including CFO of Differential Inc and Boldfish as well as managing the global financial operations of C*ATS Software, Inc. for six years from inception through its successful IPO in 1995.
"My passion is working with young companies and preparing the structures they need to grow," Shahid said. "I've seen the progression first-hand of corporate customers moving from an enterprise software model to a web-based platform and with Loyalty Lab, I can blend my operations background with my software expertise."
