Linde Produces New Safety Video Series for Customers and Employees on Handling Gases |

Murray Hill & New Providence, New Jersey, U.S. - Linde North America has created a new series of videos on the safe handling and use of several of its gases - oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide and hydrogen. The videos are available in DVD for customers, for download from the Linde North America website and viewable on Linde's YouTube channel.
Linde North America is a member of The Linde Group, a world-leading gases and engineering company. Entitled "Taking The Lead In Safety" series, the videos were shot in High Definition at several Linde and customer locations in the Los Angeles and San Francisco areas earlier this year.
Tim Wren, head of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality for Linde North America, said, "Safety is the number one priority at Linde and we have decades of experience with these products in all their forms. The new videos represent state of the art know-how on how to handle them safely and we wanted to make them accessible in a variety of viewable forms, particularly in the social media where so many of our customers and employees are accustomed to accessing information."
Each of the videos covers safety guidelines in working with the gases, including their basic properties and behavior, how they are piped and stored for use, as well as safety concerns such as prevention of low temperature burns from cryogenic products, the potential dangers of oxygen enriched atmospheres and how to avoid oxygen deficiency when working with nitrogen, carbon dioxide and hydrogen.
"A lot of preparation and care went into crafting these videos," Wren said. "We wanted them to have a long shelf life and be relevant for years to come."
