Linde Engineering to Present Paper on Carbon Capture from Steam Methane Reformers at Refining and Petrochemical Conference

Blue Bell, PA, U.S. – Linde Engineering North America Inc. announced today that Goutam Shahani, Business Development Manager, will present a paper on carbon capture  at this year’s American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL.

The Annual Meeting, to be held at the Hyatt Regency Orlando, March 23-25, is the world's premier refining meeting, assembling key executives and technical experts from refining and marketing organizations worldwide, as well as representatives from associated industries.

Shahani’s paper, which he will present on March 25, is titled “CO2 Capture from Steam Methane Reformers – Understanding the Options.”  In this presentation, Shahani will speak about the importance of hydrogen plant designs that minimize carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. His paper, co-authored with Christine Kandziora, Task Manager of Carbon Capture and Sequestration at Linde, will assess the impact of CO2 capture and discuss various options for reduction of this greenhouse gas in plant designs.

Meeting attendees will also have an opportunity to spend time with experts with worldwide experience in the design, construction and operation of process plants for the refining and petrochemical industry. Several Linde organizations will be hosting a hospitality suite, providing meeting attendees a chance to relax and learn about The Linde Group’s range of offerings.

Attendees are invited to visit Bayhill Suite 31 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando hotel on Monday evening from 6:30 to 11:00 pm March 24, where representatives of several Linde organizations will be available to discuss a cross-section of technologies and services that enhance production operations for the refining and petrochemical industries.  The organizations include Hydro-Chem, Linde North America, Linde Engineering North America Inc., and Linde Process Plants Inc.
