Linde Electronics Presents 2013 Global Supplier Performance Awards

Hemlock Semiconductor Corporation and Linggas Limited recognized for exceptional performance in quality, safety, delivery and technology

San Francisco – Linde Electronics and Specialty Gases, the global electronics business of The Linde Group, today announces two global supplier performance awards. The 2013 Linde Electronics Preferred Supplier Award recipient is Hemlock Semiconductor Corporation, headquartered in Hemlock, MI, in recognition of its continued world-class performance and commitment to Linde Electronics. The 2013 Linde Electronics Most Improved Supplier Award recipient is Linggas Ltd, headquartered in Beijing, China, in recognition of its providing excellent products, improved overall cost positions and proactive support to Linde.

Linde Electronics is committed to leading and exceeding customer expectations by providing reliable, consistent and competitive electronic materials to the global semiconductor, display, solar and LED market.

In the supplier selection process, Linde undertakes comprehensive due diligence to ensure reliability in its supply chain. Linde audits the suppliers based on their technical and operational capabilities and implements processes to ensure the sustainability and consistent quality of supply. Once the supply chains are established, Linde maintains a continuous engagement and improvement program with suppliers, keeping them updated on industry trends and the changing needs from customers. Linde conducts an annual, comprehensive supplier performance evaluation (SESPA) involving all major raw material providers to Linde Electronics globally. Suppliers are assessed on various aspects, which include commercial, quality, safety, delivery, technology and service levels. The Global Supplier Performance awards are based upon the results of this SESPA program.

Linde Electronics President Holger Kirchner said: “Rapid changes in technology demand constant improvement in manufacturing processes, resulting in more vertical integration within the supply chain. Equipment manufacturers and materials suppliers are collaborating more actively to enhance product quality for smaller, process-sensitive technology nodes and are developing innovative ways to supply product efficiently whilst delivering value at sustainable costs. I'm pleased that our suppliers remain aware of industry needs and the increasing requirements of our customers and strive to support us in a timely manner. Their efforts clearly demonstrate the mutual trust and reliability we share. I congratulate them on their wins and look forward to more collaboration and continued quality engagements in the future.”

“Hemlock Semiconductor is honored to be recognized as the Linde Electronics Preferred Supplier of the Year,” said Hemlock Semiconductor Corporation Commercial and Product Line Director Phil Dembowski. “The award is a reflection of our commitment to outstanding customer service and our reliable supply of high-quality, cost-competitive materials for the electronics and photovoltaics industries. Hemlock Semiconductor has a long history of working with Linde, and we look forward to our continued collaboration in the future.”

“It is our great honor to receive the 2013 Linde Electronics Most Improved Supplier Award,” said Bing Zhao, President of Linggas, Ltd. “We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Linde for its strong support over the past years, which has facilitated our progress. We feel very proud of being a Linde supplier. This award motivates the Linggas team to make continuous improvements in product and service quality, and we envision even greater mutual success with our closer co-operation and partnership in the future.”
