New Engineer to Assist with Product Design and Development
CINCINNATI - Edmundo Cruz-Ruiz, a graduate from Autonomous University of San Luis Potosi (Mexico), has joined Leyman Lift Gates, the leader in commercial lift gate technology, as a product design engineer.
Cruz-Ruiz will assist with product design and development of Leyman's growing line of lift gates for original equipment and aftermarket applications. Prior to his arrival at Leyman, Cruz-Ruiz was a Technical Advisor at General Electric Transportation Systems, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Edmundo was in charge of the logistic for the locomotive maintenance. He coordinated the technicians, requisition of materials for the inspections, locomotives entering and leaving the workshop, and more.
Cruz-Ruiz earned his bachelor's degree in Mechanical-Electrical Engineer from the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosi in 2001. He also received a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Thermal Science Area from the University of Puerto Rico.

Cruz-Ruiz will be working with the Leyman engineering department with continuous improvement of existing products, design of new products, quality assurance, and interfacing with vendors on technical issues. He will also coordinate with Ley-Mexico on technical and quality issues.
