Leviton Manufacturing Company Names Becker Vice President and General Manager of New Residential Business Unit

Little Neck, NY, December 19, 2006 - Leviton Manufacturing Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Bob Becker to the position of vice president and general manager of the company's new Residential Business Unit. The new business combines Leviton's Residential Products and Integrated Networks and Controls, and includes GFCIs, wiring devices, Decora® products, structured cabling and box-mounted lighting control devices.

"Bob has brought his skills in strategic planning and product development to profitably grow our structured cabling business across all channels. I am confident that he will bring these same skills to our new Residential Business Unit and will set a solid growth strategy for the future," said Donald J. Hendler, Leviton President.

Becker joined Leviton in 2003 as vice president and general manager of Leviton Integrated Networks and Controls and is credited with consolidating the company's residential lighting control and structured cabling businesses. He helped grow the market for Leviton's offering of home automation, lighting control, home entertainment and integrated network products and expanded Leviton's residential offering to include a branded audio solution through a strategic relationship with JBL. Becker will focus on expanding the company's line of contractor- and consumer-friendly products, streamlining business processes and developing long term plans for the company's residential business.

Since 2005, Becker has served on NEMA's (National Electrical Manufacturers Association's) Lighting Board and the Board of Directors of CABA (Continental Automated Building Association). He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester, an MS in Material Science and Engineering from Rutgers University and an MBA from Northeastern University.
