Leslie Gurland Named President of Logotech

Logotech Inc. of Fairfield, NJ has promoted Leslie Gurland to president of the company. Gurland, who joined Logotech in 2001, previously served as vice-president for the company, which produces pressure sensitive labels. She also served as general manager of Logotech's sister company, CLP Packaging Solutions, a producer of flexible packaging.

"Leslie has helped Logotech blaze trails in our marketing efforts, from the very basics of how our team works in partnership with our clients to how we bring innovations to the marketplace," says Ilan Drori, CEO of the Tadbik Group, of which Logotech is a U.S. subsidiary. "Leslie also understands the role Logotech plays in the international relationships of our business. With Leslie as president, we are on our way toward even greater achievements in customer satisfaction and innovation."

Gurland sees the next several years as a period of pivotal growth for Logotech.

"We built our business on three key elements: being one of the first companies to have the vision to bring letterpress equipment to the U.S.; creating a team of qualified packaging consultants instead of salespeople; and developing a design and prepress department that supports our clients at every stage of the label development process," she says. "As the quality of other printing technologies has improved, we've expanded into flexo and digital as well.

"What's especially exciting right now is that we are pushing our equipment to heights that even Gallus is impressed by, including printing unsupported film on our letterpress machines," she says. "In addition, over the next two years, we see Logotech acting as the U.S. address for all of our parent company's divisions, including Tadbik Pak, which produces shrink sleeves and in-mold labels; Logotech Labeling Systems, which designs and builds labeling and shrink sleeve application equipment; and CLP, an innovative manufacturer of flexible packaging."

In addition to her role at Logotech, Gurland also serves as treasurer of the Northeast Label Manufacturers Association (NELMA) and is a member of the State of New Jersey's New Jersey-Israel Commission.
