Lectro Engineering which represents the calvatroncorona systems manufactured by the German based Kalwar Group announces the roll out of a coating system that will change the way the film industry treats plastics forever.
Kalwar has been providing corona treating systems to the European market for decades and has developed an aerosol misting device that works in conjunction with corona treatment. This technology is only available through Kalwar and Lectro Engineering.
The calvasol system allows customers to easily change the surface chemistry of film at a nano level to remove static, prime the surface for UV paint, provide long term adhesive qualities and eliminate fogging. The system can easily be added to existing lines or be part of the Kalwar Calvatron Corona System.
The surface change is immediate as the process does not require blending of compounds eliminating migration between film layers. The calvasol process is versatile and supports a wide range of film thicknesses to increase profit margins including a reduction in film and coating costs. It does not require climate control of the plant after application and requires little maintenance after initial set up.
