Learn How to Solve Tough Processing and Packaging Challenges, and Build a Better Performing Machine, Faster, with Kollmorgen at PACK EXPO 2012

Visit booth 7566 to learn how Kollmorgen motion and automation technology, and 70+ years of application expertise, can help OEMs get to market faster with a superior performing machine

RADFORD, VA - Kollmorgen is exhibiting its family of high-performance motion systems, components and services in booth 7566 at PACK EXPO 2012, from October 28 - 31, 2012, at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. Visitors to the booth can expect numerous live and interactive demos that illustrate how Kollmorgen motion control solutions and packaging expertise can help OEMs build superior machines with a distinct and measurable competitive advantage.

"Kollmorgen's culture of engineering collaboration and continuous technology innovation, coupled with decades of motion control and machine automation experience, enables us to help OEMs increase machine flexibility, reliability and throughput; reduce development cycles, time-to-market, commissioning time and total operational costs; and deliver new levels of packaging innovation and quality - from reduced cleaning time and increased longevity in hygienic washdown environments, to reduced parts count and simplified machine design using direct drive technology," says Andy Hansbrough, Market Development Manager. "And beyond optimizing product performance, our team can help OEMs manage through machine lifecycles and upgrades, operator training and safety, as well as customer service and support."

Live demos will include a dispensing machine to illustrate the precise yet simple motion needed in all types of automated machines, from drink machines to vertical form/fill/seal machines. "Unwind-punch-wind" machines will illustrate precise camming between two dynamically changing spools of material and a rotary hole punch-and-die. A washdown IP69K demo will feature stainless steel servomotors that simplify machine design, component integration, installation, cleaning and sanitizing, and even microbial swab down testing - running real-time in a simulated environment of moving water.

For visitors who want to have some fun and get hands-on, the "flying dartboard and servo tennis" demos provide an opportunity to experience the effectiveness and significance of high update rate and precise positioning to maximize processing and packaging machine performance.

In addition to the live in-booth demos, PACK EXPO attendees should plan to be at the PACK EXPO Innovation Stage in the Grand Concourse from 11:30 a.m. - noon on Monday, October 29, 2012, for an in-depth presentation by Kollmorgen on how motion technology is bringing significant innovation to the processing and packaging machine market.

OEMs are invited to visit Kollmorgen in booth 7566 to discuss application needs and learn more about how Kollmorgen can help them achieve desired results. They can also schedule a meeting with a Kollmorgen expert by sending an e-mail with the desired meeting day and time to packaging@kollmorgen.com.
