Minneapolis, Minn., January 24, 2006. SICK, Inc., a leading provider of sensors, safety systems and automatic identification products for industrial applications in North America, today announced that it will celebrate its 30th anniversary and that it achieved record revenues in 2005, exceeding $100 million in sales, a 27 percent increase over 2004 revenues.

SICK, Inc. will mark 30 years of innovation, leadership, strong growth, and delivering consistent high-quality solutions for its customers by holding a special celebration at its North American headquarters in Bloomington, Minnesota, February 3, 2006 at Noon. The party will include a keynote address from Alberto Bertomeu, president of SICK, Inc. and also from Anne-Kathrin Deutrich, spokesperson for the Executive Board, from the company's global headquarters in Germany.

Other scheduled events include a ribbon cutting ceremony to dedicate the company's recently expanded facility. The larger space provides an additional 16,000 square feet for office, manufacturing, logistics, and specialized space to meet the growing demand from customers for additional research and product development.

In addition, SICK is also recognizing recertification to the ISO 9001:2000 and 14001:2004 standards. Quality has always been of central importance to SICK and each employee is committed to make their own personal contribution to ensure that quality objectives are achieved. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is the world's largest developer of standards that contribute to making the development, manufacturing and supply of products and services more efficient, safer and cleaner.
