Anark and Lattice Technology to offer 3D PDF solution for 3D Process Planning Instructions

San Francisco, September 2nd, 2010: Lattice Technology®, Inc., the standard for technical communication and digital mock up software in the manufacturing enterprise, today announced that Anark Corporation has joined the company's reseller program.

The partnership between Lattice Technology and Anark includes their intentions to integrate their product lines and to leverage the Adobe 3D PDF format as an open and freely viewable data container for 3D design and manufacturing applications. This technology and reseller partnership will provide an integrated 3D Process Planning and Work Instruction authoring environment which utilizes native Adobe 3D PDF as the data delivery format which can be viewed and interacted with using the Free Adobe Reader.

"The partnership with Anark is very exciting", said Bill Barnes, General Manager, Lattice Technology, Inc. "Their leadership position in working with 3D PDF's makes them the ideal partner for us. Together we can deliver 3D Process Planning instructions combining heavy 3D CAD and manufacturing simulations in the lightweight 3D PDF format. Customers will be able choose between XVL or 3D PDF as a delivery platform depending on their requirements. Additionally, the Anark team will provide top class support and service for our customers."

"It makes perfect sense for Anark and Lattice to join forces at this time", said Stephen Collins CEO of Anark Corporation. "Lattice is the leader in generating a low cost, high value process planning and digital manufacturing solution, while Anark has been leading the industry in authoring light weight 3D work instructions based on the open Adobe 3D PDF format. Together we can now offer a complete 3D CAD to 3D Process Planning to 3D PDF work instruction environment at a fraction of the cost of the big PLM vendors' equivalent solutions. We are enabling our customers to create light weight animated work instructions which do not require proprietary CAD formats or CAD viewers and are fully deployable using the Free Adobe Reader resident on over 99% of the world's computers", continued Stephen.

For more information about the high value low cost super light weight 3D Process Planning and 3D PDF animated work instruction capabilities now made possible, please contact your local Anark or Lattice Technology representative.
