Latest Upgrade to Global Powder Metallurgy Property Database

The online Global Powder Metallurgy Property Database (www.pmdatabase.com) has announced a just-launched upgrade to its storehouse of material properties. The newly added data covers recently introduced hybrid ferrous structural grades based on the sinter-hardening material FL-5108 and the diffusion-alloyed material FD-0105.

The free-access GPMPD database displays a wealth of material property data in a user-friendly format viewable in both tabular and graphic formats that are of particular interest to design engineers in a range of industries. Launched in 2004, the groundbreaking GPMPD is a project developed jointly by the world's three leading regional PM trade associations, the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF), the European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA), and the Japan Powder Metallurgy Association (JPMA).

Since its launch, the database has been refined and extended several times to include the nonferrous PM and metal injection molding (MIM) sectors. The latest upgrade brings the total of coverage to nearly 4,000 lines of high-quality data.
