Press release date: April 2, 2008

IFAT 5th-9th May 2008, New Munich Trade Fair Centre, Munich Hall: A2, Stand No.: 219/316

2nd April 2008

Mono NOV, Europe's leading designer and manufacturer of pumps, parts, Munchers®, screens and packaged systems, will be exhibiting its high performance pump protection systems and solutions at IFAT 2008.

Exhibiting alongside specialist Muncher and screen distributor, VTS, who is based in Germany, Mono will be promoting a range of pumps, parts, Munchers and screens at the show, as well as launching an innovative new packaged system.

All Mono's Muncher and screen systems are specifically designed to screen and grind all solids to a small particle size, thereby eliminating pump blockages to ensure they operate to maximum efficiency. This minimises maintenance and also eliminates screenings handling/disposal costs.

The Munchers incorporate cutting discs on contra-rotating shafts, which enable them to deliver highly effective size reduction of any solids within the flow, while the self cleaning. Mono's disc-based screens provide a far more efficient alternative to traditional mesh, bar and drum screens, with the ability to remove up to 95% of solids with 2.5mm or 5mm aperture sizes.

Combining the benefits of the progressing cavity pump principle and a low energy Muncher, these systems can be packaged to offer many additional advantages compared to submersible pump sets, such as low running speeds, low maintenance, low energy costs and low noise operation.

Ian Hallows, business development manager for Waste-Tec products at Mono, commented: "Maximising pump performance is essential in order to optimise processing efficiency. Mono has developed a range of systems and solutions that are specifically designed with this in mind and our Munchers and screens have proved extremely effective in macerating a wide range of materials such as rags, rope, plastic, cans and wood, as well as providing efficient screening of waste water flows.

"IFAT provides an ideal opportunity for Mono to exhibit these specialist products and, in addition to promoting our successful pump, Muncher and screen ranges, we will be launching a new high performance packaged system at the show, providing visitors with an exclusive first look at this innovative new pump protection solution."

In addition to supplying high quality equipment and parts, Mono NOV supplies high quality parts for other brands of progressing cavity pumps. Same day dispatch is available and all parts have the same warranties and guarantees as parts for Mono pumps.

Based in Manchester, Mono NOV is Europe's leading designer and manufacturer of pumps, parts, grinders, screens and packaged systems, supplying many different sectors including, water and wastewater, food and beverage, chemical and pharmaceutical, oil and gas, minerals and mining and paper and pulp. Mono's product range includes heavy and light duty industrial transfer pumps, widethroat pumps, hygienic pumps, dosing pumps, solar pumps, as well as munchers and screens.
