LMC Workholding announces Richter's installation of a large C-Form Type 5-3 steady rest for a Heyligenstaedt HeynuTurn 2500 machine. This steady rest's capacities include a center height of 1570 mm (61.8 in.), 1800 mm (70.9 in.) maximum diameter, maximum workpiece weight of 30 tons and rollers that are 129 mm (5.1 in) wide. Steady rests turn long shaft type workpieces where cutting can create unstable conditions or cause the parts to bend or deflect.
