BELLEVUE, WA, January 3, 2007.. Lagotek and Leviton Manufacturing today announced the integration of Leviton's Vizia(TM)-RF series of lighting and home control products with Lagotek's Home Intelligence Platform (HIP), a wireless whole home automation system. The combination of products provides a new level of quality and integration for all home electrical systems including lighting, zoned climate control, distributed audio, monitoring and surveillance, home entertainment, irrigation, shade and blind controls and security system integration. Vizia-RF includes advanced switches, dimmers, and plug-in modules controlled through Z-Wave, an industry standard wireless protocol.
A Combination That Enhances both Form & Function
The combined offering of Lagotek's Home Intelligence Platform and Leviton's Vizia-RF products delivers an elegance that will appeal to designers, decorators and homeowners of any new or remodeled home. Lagotek eliminates the wall clutter that is created by the need to use separate control pads for climate control, security systems, audio controls, lighting controls and many other home systems. Integration with Whole Home Control
Lagotek's system design includes home theater controls through Microsoft's next-generation Windows Vista-based Media Center, which allows users to control a variety of home functions with the click of a remote control. The integration with Vizia-RF - provides automatic dimming of lighting for watching movies and brings lighting to a comfortable level when you pause or stop the movie. The same event will also invoke motor controls for blinds and shades, climate control or any other event that is appropriate for a personalized event.
