Labconco LEED Green Associates Can Answer Your Design Questions for Laboratory Equipment

Labconco Corporation, Kansas City, Missouri is pleased to announce two Labconco Associates the LEED Green Associate certification. Brian Garrett, Product Specialist for Biosafety Cabinets and Enclosures and Luke Savage, Fume Hood Specialist and Sales Engineer, underwent the training course and proved their understanding and knowledge of LEED systems by passing the mandatory test to become LEED Green Associates.

Our credentialed associates are available for consultation and guidance on your LEED building project and how Labconco's Fume Hoods, Biosafety Cabinets and Glassware Washers can augment that project.

Several Labconco product lines are eligible to contribute to LEED Points under the LEED for Building Design & Construction-New Construction rating system. Because laboratories do not have their own rating system, many facilities planners, architects and property owners have been hesitant to follow or go for LEED Certification.

However, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has mandated that all new federally funded government construction projects and substantial renovations achieve LEED Silver rating or higher. The four levels of LEED ratings start at Certified, then Silver, Gold and the highest rating, Platinum.
