Press release date: January 1, 2009

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA - The Vision 2008 tradeshow in Stuttgart, Germany at the beginning of November presented a wonderful opportunity for LMI Technologies Inc. (LMI) to launch maestro(TM) to the worldwide machine vision industry.

As industry members know, Germany is the hub for innovative engineering design, so it's no surprise that most of the key customers, manufacturers, and distributors in this market were available to review new products and discuss opportunities.

As one example of the interest that our maestro launch had, we are pleased to announce that DVC Machinevision bv (DVC) signed an exclusive distribution agreement during the show. In the future DVC will be the exclusive distributor in Belgium, The Netherlands, and Luxembourg (BENELUX) for the following LMI products brands: FireSync(TM), HexSight(TM), and maestro(TM).

Traditionally, LMI's business model focused on OEMs and System Integrators for specific vertical market applications under the Sensors That See(TM) brand. In 2007 the LMI in-house research and development team decided to also focus on the general machine vision industry with their FireSync(TM) component platform for vision applications. Since this time, the LMI product offerings now encompass HexSight software and hardware, as well as their recently launched maestro product line.
