EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass., July 16, 2008 - LENOX, a leading manufacturer of premium power tool accessories, torches, solder and band saw blades, today announces that David Pirkle has been named its new President of Industrial Products and Services, LENOX. In his new position, Pirkle will report directly to Bill Burke, group president of tools and hardware, Newell Rubbermaid.
"I believe Dave will carry out the legacy that LENOX established back in 1915 by continuing the team spirit and passion that embodies our employees," stated Bill Burke, group president tools and hardware, Newell Rubbermaid. "We are confident that his background and experience will be a great addition to the LENOX team. His familiarity with the business and customers will translate well into the LENOX philosophy of always going the extra mile in product performance and service."
Pirkle received his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and his master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He joined Newell Rubbermaid in 2002 as vice president of marketing for IRWIN Industrial Tools. He then served as vice president of marketing for Rubbermaid Foodservice Products where he assumed leadership of the sales and engineering functions. Most recently, Pirkle was president of the Amerock business. He and his family are relocating to the East Longmeadow area in the near future.
