L-com Global Connectivity Adds Cat 5E PoE Injectors with Surge Protection
NORTH ANDOVER, MA, -- June 12, 2009 -- L-com, a global leader in the manufacture of wired and wireless connectivity solutions, has developed three new Category 5E high power, mid-span PoE injectors which provide data and power over a single Cat5 or Cat5E cable.
These new PoE injectors are 802.3af compliant and feature surge protection on all lines. In addition to the standard model, BT-CAT5E-P1-HP, L-com offers a 48 Watt power version , BT-CAT5E-P1-HP-4848, as well as a 70 Watt power version BT-CAT5E-P1-HP-4870.
"By combining surge protection on our PoE injectors we can offer our customers an extra level of protection in their investment over other competitors PoE injector products. Also we have addressed the need for higher power applications with the 4848 and 4870 kits which ship with the power supplies," said Greg Pepin, Product Manager.
