Company to give technical tutorial, take part in panel discussion and demo its latest MicroTCA open modular platforms as well as join multi-vendor interoperability demo

Product Demonstrations Kontron will showcase its latest MicroTCA solutions in booth #211. The company will offer live demonstrations of its Kontron OM6040 4-slot compact system for and the Kontron OM7100 10-slot multiprocessor redundant platform. Static demonstrations of the Kontron OM5080 2U Carrier Grade solution and the Kontron OM6062 6-slot platform will also be provided.
Multi-Vendor Interoperability Demonstration Kontron will also participate in the multi-vendor interoperability demonstration with its Kontron AM4010 high-performance, packet-based AMC and Kontron AM4500 SATA Storage AMC Module. Interoperability demonstrations showing multiple vendors' products performing in a single rack will take place on the exhibit floor on Wednesday, May 28, Noon - 2 pm and 5 - 7 pm and Thursday, May 29, Noon - 2 pm.
Presentations Dave Pursley, Field Applications Engineer from Kontron, will present a tutorial on MicroTCA System Design Challenges during the T1A - Intro to MicroTCA tutorial on Wednesday, May 28 at 8:30am - 11:00am. Pursley will cover the common trade-offs unique to MicroTCA systems and present an approach for addressing them. These will include reducing architectural overhead costs, dealing with a relatively high power density due to small form factor boards, and leveraging shelf management for both redundant and non-redundant systems.
Sven Freudenfeld, Manager of Business Development for Kontron, will participate in the Chat with the Experts forum on Wednesday, May 28th from 7:00pm - 8:30pm. Freudenfeld will be on hand to discuss hardware-related topics in an informal atmosphere where attendees can ask questions of experts in specific areas.
