Kittiwake Developments Limited, world leader in onsite and online condition monitoring equipment for fuel oil, lubricating oil and industrial water announces today, the appointment of Martin Lucas as Managing Director.
Commenting on the appointment, Kittiwake owner, Chris Leigh-Jones said: "We are delighted that Martin Lucas has returned to the UK to take up this position within Kittiwake. The business is entering an exciting growth phase, and Martin has the ideal profile, experience and knowledge to take the business forward in its next phase of development."
Lucas, who took up his new position in September, has been involved in the development, manufacture and sale of instrumentation for the last 25 years and has operated in the aviation, marine, industrial and oil and gas markets during this time. He joined Kittiwake in 2000 as Sales Manager for Fuel and Lube Products focussing on the development of the business into new markets and expanding the business geographically. He was responsible for the integration of the Analex PQ laboratory instrument range into the Kittiwake portfolio and the expansion of this brand to include field instrumentation and on line sensor technology. Having most recently spent 3 years in Malaysia as Director of Kittiwake Asia Pacific, Lucas was responsible for developing the Asia Pacific market for oil and machinery condition monitoring equipment in both the marine and land based industries.
Lucas says "Since joining Kittiwake in 2000, the company has seen significant growth both geographically and in new market sectors and we now seek to further develop this growth potential. The company now has satellite offices in Germany, Malaysia and the USA with additional offices expected to open over the coming year. The introduction of advanced on-line sensor technology to the condition monitoring market and an anticipated expansion in our Water Test Kits business, will play a significant part in our growth plans.
