THE BIG M Announces U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker as Keynote Speaker
Manufacturing event to bring together industry stakeholders, leaders and policymakers to discuss key issues and solutions
(DEARBORN, Mich.) – SME is pleased to announce U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker will keynote its inaugural THE BIG M event in Detroit, Michigan June 9 to 12. THE BIG M is designed to highlight the latest ideas, innovations and technologies from across the manufacturing industry and brings together professionals, manufacturers and policymakers to discuss real-world solutions to accelerate manufacturing in communities nationwide.
“A strong manufacturing sector is critical to our intellectual and innovative capacity, and I am delighted to be part of THE BIG M event to discuss programs and policies that will help our manufacturers maintain global competitiveness,” said Pritzker. “Manufacturing accounts for 70 percent of private sector research and development and 70 percent of patents issued.
