Key Technology Appoints Richard Hebel as Optical Product Marketing Manager


October 27, 2011 - Key Technology announces the appointment of Richard Hebel to the position of Optical Product Marketing Manager. Hebel is responsible for planning and managing activities that support the development and sales of Key's laser / camera sorting systems including Manta®, Tegra®, Optyx®, and Veo(TM), which identify and remove defects and foreign material (FM) to improve product quality and food safety.

"Rich is managing an important group of products. He is collaborating with various departments within Key to ensure we pursue a coordinated approach to developing new market opportunities and meetings customers' needs worldwide," noted David Camp, President and CEO of Key Technology. "Rich fully understands our equipment and our customers, and has quickly taken the lead in managing our optical product line. We are excited to have Rich back at Key."

Hebel brings more than 30 years of marketing and engineering experience to his new position and has worked with Key for 15 years. Most recently, he worked with Key and other companies as an independent consultant on special projects. Previously, he was Chief Technology Officer at Key Technology. Prior to that, he was General Manager of Symetix, the pharmaceutical group of Key Technology.
