Cleveland, OH - November 30, 2010 - Keithley Instruments, Inc. (NYSE:KEI), a world leader in advanced electrical test instruments and systems, announced that it has been honored by The International Entrepreneur (TiE) Ohio, in the international business category, which recognizes Ohio-headquartered multinational businesses that have expanded globally. The TiE International Entrepreneurship Awards were created to recognize the achievements of international entrepreneurs and businesses helping to reshape and rebuild Ohio's business landscape and to highlight how international entrepreneurs contribute to the local economy.
Mark A. Hoersten, Keithley's vice president, marketing, accepted the award on the company's behalf, at a ceremony held September 21, 2010. Hoersten notes, "It's very gratifying to be recognized by TiE Ohio because Keithley has long emphasized the vital importance of expanding its international presence. We have subsidiaries or sales offices in Belgium, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, and the United States. Most recently, we signed an agreement with Orbis Oy, a Finnish company specializing in quality control and testing solutions, for the distribution of Keithley products in Finland, Sweden, and the Baltic states. Distribution agreements of this type allow us to provide superior support for our overseas customers. To help potential customers around the world learn about our products, we maintain international websites in the local language in Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the Russian Federation, Chile, Italy, the Netherlands, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, China, and Korea."
