Press release date: July 2, 2008

First Time Awarded to a High-Flow Fluid-Extraction System

Hamilton, OH-July 2, 2008-Kaivac, Inc., developers of the No-Touch Cleaning(TM) system, announces that all of their No-Touch Cleaning systems have been awarded the Seal of Approval from the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI), Dalton, Georgia for carpet extraction.

The Seal of Approval rating is an honor given to manufacturers for their cleaning equipment that meet specific standards and criteria and have above-average test results including higher soil-removal ratings.

This is the first time a high-flow fluid-extraction or spray-and-vac-type system has received such an award for carpet extraction. With the simple attachment of a carpet cleaning wand, the Kaivac No-Touch systems can be used just like a carpet extractor.

According to Tom Morrison, Vice President of Marketing for Kaivac, the No-Touch systems were able to earn the Seal of Approval because the machines have advanced three-stage vacuum systems as well as a HEPA-filtered exhaust and blow systems to help protect the health of the user and building occupants.

About the Test The CRI Seal of Approval program has become one of the most respected testing and certification programs in the professional cleaning industry. To be approved, machines are evaluated based on: o Soil-removal capabilities, using NASA-enhanced X-ray fluorescence technology to measure the precise amount of soil removed from a test surface or carpet o Water removal, referring to the machine's ability to remove moisture to facilitate faster drying times and eliminate the possibility of fungal growth in carpets o Ability to protect carpet fibers during the cleaning process

"Kaivac is more focused on hygienic cleaning than ever before," says Morrison. "Winning the CRI Silver Seal of Approval just confirms not only that our machines clean effectively and hygienically but that this can be substantiated and measured."

The President of Kaivac, Robert Robinson Sr., who has been in the jansan industry for more than a decade is available to discuss jansan industry issues and trends. He may be reached by calling: 800-287-1136
