KOHLER Engines to Showcase Diverse Lineup at National Hardware Show

Company offers wide range of durable, fuel-efficient engines for outdoor power equipment

KOHLER, Wis. - KOHLER® Engines is excited to be a first-time exhibitor at the National Hardware Show, scheduled for May 7-9, 2013 at the Las Vegas Convention Center (Booth #6961). The company will be showcasing a variety of engines at the show, including gasoline options from its highly regarded Command PRO® commercial line, as well as its powerful and efficient diesel line and its trusted Courage® line for homeowners. The products to be highlighted were carefully selected by KOHLER to reflect the wide-ranging needs of today's outdoor power equipment.

"Only a handful of industry shows offer us the opportunity to get in front of such a diverse group of category decision makers," said Cam Litt, marketing manager for Kohler Engines. "The home improvement industry crosses into so many categories that are important to us--lawn and landscape, building/construction, agriculture, rental, and more. Of course, whether powering equipment on the jobsite or in the backyard, all KOHLER engines are designed to deliver reliability, ease-of-use, unmatched fuel efficiency--and of course, dependable starting. We're certainly eager to share the KOHLER Engines story--and details about our full range of products--with everyone at the show."

Specific products to be featured in the KOHLER Engines booth at the National Hardware Show include the following:

- KOHLER Command PRO - Three Command PRO horizontal - shaft engines, ranging from 7 to 14 hp, will be on display. These single-cylinder gasoline engines--designed to perform in all weather conditions--feature a compact, drop-in design to fit most equipment without major modification. KOHLER's exclusive Quad-Clean™ technology is also integrated to protect the engine in dirty conditions and a large fuel tank helps deliver longer run times.

- KOHLER Courage - The 6.5 hp SH265 is the go-to engine every consumer needs. Auto-choke, electric start and dual ball bearings are utilized for smooth and easy starting. A large fuel tank helps get the job done with less downtime, and a dual-element air cleaner keeps dust out of the chamber to protect critical components.

- KOHLER Diesel - The 9.8 hp KD420 diesel engine is a do-it-all workhouse for commercial/industrial jobs. The direct injection system and cast-iron cylinders produce increased power while helping to lower fuel consumption and extend engine life. An automatic compression release and self-bleeding fuel system are also integrated to provide faster, easier starts. The KD420 is EPA/CARB 4 emissions compliant and includes an industry leading three-year warranty.

- KOHLER Courage XT8 - The 8.0 hp Courage XT8 is clean, quiet and easy-to-use. Smart-Choke™ technology offers easy, no-prime starting and an Accu-Fill™ gas tank helps guard against overfilling and spilling of gas. Quiet performance is delivered through a front tube outlet muffler, which directs exhaust away from the user.
