KOH YOUNG Takes Home Coveted Global Technology Award at SMTAI for Industry-Leading aSPIre2 Solder Paste Inspection Machine

Orlando, Florida, USA - Koh Young Technology won a coveted Global Technology Award for the company's aSPIre2 Solder Paste Inspection machine and its new Closed Loop Interface. Koh Young is a leading supplier of 3D SPI, AOI, and advanced automated inspection equipment for the electronics manufacturing industry worldwide. Koh Young's new Closed Loop Interface brings the inspection system and the solder paste printer in a manufacturing line together via a closed-loop communications link to not only identify defects but correct them at the printer. It is the first such system of its kind. It prevents soldering defects downstream that result in excess rework, productivity delays, and lower yields.
The award was presented to the company on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at a ceremony that took place at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort in Orlando, FL during the 2012 SMTA International Conference, and was accepted by Bill Astle, General Manager of Koh Young America.
