KODAK Scanners Demonstrate Best-in-Class Performance to Earn Editor's Choice Awards from Better Buys for Business

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The KODAK i2900, i3200 and i3400 Scanners set a new standard for image quality and enhancement, user functionality and paper handling. Better Buys for Business (BBB), which provides independent reviews of office equipment, selected the scanners as the winners of its Editor’s Choice Award.

“Kodak has consistently provided strong scanners with very good features,” said Melissa Pardo-Bunte, Editor of BBB. “Their products deliver the highest level of performance while pioneering new features and solutions, fulfilling the document management challenges businesses face.”

BBB highlighted the i2900 Scanner (www.kodak.com/go/i2900news) for its compact design paired with fast imaging speeds and durable features, which make it a strong choice for applications associated with legal, finance and human resources. Reviewers also praised the versatility of the scanner’s unique, integrated flatbed scanner.

The i2900 Scanner and i3000 Series Scanners (www.kodak.com/go/i3000seriesnews) both received favorable ratings for their image processing features powered by Kodak’s Perfect Page technology, which delivers automatic image adjustments to ensure high-quality images and further increases user productivity. Kodak’s Smart Touch functionality, which enables one-touch workflows, also ranked among the scanners’ top features. Smart Touch makes it easy for users to send documents in the form of JPEG, TIFF, PDF and searchable PDF files directly to destinations such as email recipients, Microsoft SharePoint and other shared networked folders.

“This award validates Kodak’s commitment to innovation and to helping customers streamline and automate document management processes to increase productivity,” said Tony Barbeau, Kodak’s General Manager for Document Imaging. “The advancements enabled by our solutions empower end users to save time and money for their businesses.”

The scanners also scored high marks for their high-capacity document feeders, which can hold up to 250 sheets. The i2900 Scanner and i3000 Series Scanners are equipped with Kodak’s Intelligent Document Protection feature, which helps prevent physical damage to paper documents by automatically pausing scanning at detection of a potential jam.
