AUSTIN, Texas - KLD Energy Technologies, Inc. (KLD) and Samsung SDI announced today they have entered into a cooperative relationship to jointly develop state-of-the-art battery systems which will incorporate Samsung SDI's industry-leading lithium-ion battery cells and KLD's innovative electric vehicle drive technologies.
Samsung SDI is a global manufacturer of rechargeable batteries for electronics and vehicles. Samsung SDI brings to the relationship its extensive large-scale production experience, as well as, manufacturing competence in the area of lithium-ion cell production.

Those industries include, but are not limited to, motorcycles and scooters, equipment for wind?energy generation, elevators and escalators, air conditioners, pumps and three? and four?wheel vehicles.
