December 12, 2011 - Angola, NY: KH Industries announced today the acquisition of Sunlite Safety Products, LLC of Carbondale, PA. Included in the acquisition, is all of the molds and stamping of Sunlite's GX1 Rechargeable LED Hazardous Location Lantern.
"The first generation of Sunlite's GX1 Lantern was made in China," explains John Herc, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at KH Industries. "We are proud to announce that KH Industries has brought all the molds and stamping back to the USA."
KH Industries will offer the GX1 under the new trademarked name, HazLoc Lantern(TM) with part number GX3M-BG-16TA.
"This acquisition allows KH to provide it's customers an intrinsically safe lantern and work light that is portable and intensely bright." says Herc. "What differentiates the HazLoc Lantern is that it is cUL Certified for Class I Division 1, Groups A, B, C & D and it provides the user a 405 Lumen LED worklight that can be positioned vertically or horizontally towards the work area. The HazLoc Lantern is NOT a flashlight"
