Tough and Ergonomically Designed Handheld Computer Secured from Unauthorized Access
Scottsdale, AZ - Juniper Systems, a world leader in ultra-rugged handheld computers and intuitive field computing solutions, and Apriva, the leading provider of end-to-end wireless transaction and secure mobile communications solutions, today announced that Juniper's Mesa Rugged Notepad® has completed extensive testing and validation procedures to achieve full integration with the Apriva Authentication Suite. As a result of this integration, Juniper and Apriva can offer a comprehensive solution that addresses the growing need of government and enterprise customers to protect sensitive information and access to critical networks.
The Apriva Authentication Suite combines three key components to deliver a secure access environment. Among these is the Apriva Reader(TM), a wearable Bluetooth smart card reader, which enables secure access to authentication data stored on a Common Access Card (CAC) or other ISO 7816 based ID card. The Apriva Guard(TM) solution locks down the Mesa Rugged Notepad until proper authentication is achieved through the Apriva Reader. Apriva CSPware(TM) is the AES 256 encryption engine that ensures the highest level of encryption of data transmitted outside the Mesa Rugged Notepad.
