He is an active contributor to the area of U.S. policy for scientific user facilities and was chair of the Interagency Working Group on neutron and light source facilities under the Office of Science and Technology Policy.

Dr. Gallagher received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Pittsburgh in 1991. His research interests include neutron and X-ray instrumentation and studies of soft condensed matter systems such as liquids, polymers, and gels.

The June Caucus is sponsored by ASTM International, an ANSI member and audited designator.

The Caucus will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the National Press Club (529 14th Street, NW, 13th Floor, Lisagor Room) in Washington, DC. RSVPs are requested as soon as possible.
