Kimberly Walsh writes articles in Water Quality Products Magazine
In March of this year, the Water Quality Products Magazine published an article written by Kimberly Walsh which covered treating bacteria with activated carbon. The article focused on the benefits of a new antimicrobial agent that is impregnated onto activated carbon (called BioGard(TM)) for its bacteriostatic effects over the traditional silver impregnated activated carbon.
This newly introduced BioGard(TM) activated carbon product illustrated a 99.99% reduction in bacteria in a recent NSF 42 test performed on a carbon block. Not only is this product safer than silver impregnated products, it is less expensive and last longer.
