Juki to Participate in PoP Center During SMTA International

MORRISVILLE, NC - Juki Automation Systems, a world-leading provider of automated assembly products and systems and part of Juki Corporation, will participate in the Package-on-Package (PoP) Design and Assembly Center during the annual SMTA International conference, scheduled to take place October 14-18, 2012 in Orlando, FL.

Juki will demo a KE-3020V high-speed flexible mounter in the PoP Design and Assembly Center. With a maximum component height of 25 mm, the KE-3020V model now offers the possibility for the on-the-fly centering of six vision components simultaneously over the high-speed camera. In addition to the existing high-speed laser measuring system, this also increases the component placement over the camera up to a maximum speed of 9,000 cph. A fluxer also will be on display for PoP demonstrations.

The GL Fully Automatic Screen Printer uses a patented mathematical calculating algorithm to ensure the machine¡¦s high accuracy print alignment that easily achieves 01005 (0402 metric) printing. Additionally, the system features a patented PCB Flexible Auto Clamp (FAC) system and Stencil Position Memory (SPM) function for easy, quick changeover.

The hands-on PoP Center will be located on the exhibition show floor on both Tuesday, October 16 and Wednesday, October 17. Attendees can see the process firsthand, including placement of PoP, in-process inspection of package assemblies, application of dip paste and dip flux, rework of PoP and inspection, and PoP process defects, causes and cures. Attendees are encouraged to bring samples and technical challenges to examine at the event. For more information, visit http://www.smta.org/smtai/pop.cfm.
