Juki Goes All Out for Its 25,000th Shipment at JISSO PROTEC 2012

MORRISVILLE, NC - Juki Automation Systems, Inc., a world-leading provider of automated assembly products and part of Juki Corporation, will participate in Juki's 25,000th machine shipped celebration that is being held in conjunction with the upcoming JISSO PROTEC 2012 exhibition, scheduled to take place June 13-15, 2012 at the Tokyo Big Sight in Japan. JAS, Inc. will host Scott Fillebrown, President of ACD, David Lane, Chief Technology Officer of Oncore Manufacturing Systems, Francisco Saralegui, SMT Manager of Newsan, and Adriån Lamandia, CEO of Novatech, as its guests of honor.

Under the concept of 3E evolution: Easy, Economical, Expandable, Juki will showcase cutting-edge products that improve productivity and quality.

New products to be displayed for the first time include the TR-7D High-Speed Matrix Tray Server and MDS Matrix Tray Server designed specifically for die components to present the wafer or waffle tray directly to the machine. Both the TR-7D and MDS are designed to feed parts via shuttle at the rear of the machine. The TR-7D high-speed matrix tray server is equipped with dual magazines and drive systems to present two different trays simultaneously. This method is required to meet the increased IC placement speed of the KE3020V and to eliminate wasted time during tray exchange while increasing the efficiency of placement.

Juki's KE-3010 high-speed chip shooter will be on display together with the KE-3020V high-speed flexible mounter as one production line. The upgraded FX-3R now features a maximum throughput of up to 66,000 cph (IPC9850), the largest placeable component range in the high-speed placer market supporting up to 33.5 mm2 components and 240 x 8 mm tape feeder lanes. With the U.S. premier of the KE-3010, Juki offers the perfect matching chip shooter for combinations with the KE-3020(V) and FX-3(R), allowing the high-speed placement of the widest range of components up to 12 mm height and new 160 x 8 mm tape feeder lanes.

With a maximum component height of 25 mm, the KE-3020V model now offers the possibility for the on-the-fly centering of six vision components simultaneously over the high-speed camera. In addition to the existing high-speed laser measuring system, this also increases the component placement over the camera up to a maximum speed of 9'000 cph. A fluxer will be on display for package on package (PoP) demonstrations. All three models are fully compatible with all Juki machines upwards and downwards.

The new Sentry also will be displayed, featuring newly developed, ultra-small cameras in the pick-and-place head to record all pick-and-placement action in real-time for immediate analysis of the process with a data storage system.

A unique AOI system, integrated in the pick-and-place system, ensures that only 100 percent correctly assembled boards will be transferred to the next machine. This guarantees that sequential errors within the assembly systems are avoided and that process errors will be detected instantly with the help of image recognition during the placement process. All of these features can be achieved with no additional programming time. All required data is taken from the pick-and-place program.

The JX-100LED now offers the capability to handle board sizes up to 1200 mm, making it the "must have" machine for low-cost, high-speed LED tube production. A 1200 mm long board line will feature the GKG Screen Printer and the JX100 with Long Board Option.
