Johnson Matthey Appoints Jose G. Ramirez Senior Project Engineer for Its Stationary Emissions Control (SEC) Group


MALVERN, PA, October 20, 2010 - Johnson Matthey announced today the appointment of Jose G. Ramirez as a Senior Project Engineer for its Stationary Emissions Control (SEC) group. SEC designs and supplies catalysts and engineers catalytic systems to control emissions from gas turbines and boilers, stationary gas and diesel engines, coal power plants, locomotives and marine vessels.

Ramirez will be responsible for the development, design, project execution and technical support of emissions control components and systems for high horsepower engines (stationary engines, turbines and locomotives) and industrial plants. He is a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Ramirez also attended The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Before joining Johnson Matthey, Jose was a Performance Engineer for Standard Aero, Inc. in San Antonio, Texas responsible for providing specialized technical and analytical engineering support. Prior to that, he was a Thermal/Design Engineer For Stewart Systems Inc in Plano, Texas; and Edison Engineering Development Engineer for General Electric (GE) Aircraft Engines in Cincinnati, Ohio.
